Bhai Jasbir singh Ji was a sampuran Gurmukh, preacher kirtania and a philanthropist who founded Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Charitable Hospital. Bhai Sahib, also known as Vir Ji in sangat, left for Sachkhand on October 14th, 2006. Bhai Jasbir Singh Ji is the first sikh preacher conferred with the honour of “Panth Rattan.”
He was inspired by Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Mastuana Sahib Wale, who inspired about 1.4 million sikh to take Amrit in his life time. Baba Attar Singh was the first person in sikh history to be honored by Sikh-Panth as “SANT”.
Bhai Jasbir Singh Ji spent his whole life spreading Guru Nanak’s message in form of Katha-Kirtan and preaching to encurage sangat follow principals of “Shabad Guru”. He always felt joy in doing selfless sewa of sikh panth. Sant Nischal Singh Ji and Saint Scholar Giani Niranjan Singh Patiale Wale blessed him to encourage sangat for “Simran Sadhna”. Soon sangat started to gather in Gurudwaras all over at Amrit-Vela to medidate in Simran-Sadhna.
Bhai Sahib starte looking for a permanent place where he could serve humanity with social and spirtiural uplifment. With Gurus wish we found a peaceful place on Sohana village near Chandigarh that he baught in 1983. Sangat started gathering for Gurmat Kirtan, Naam Kamai and Kar Sewa of this place. The foundation stone was finally laid by Panj-Piyare sahiban in 1983 and this place was named as “Gurdwara Gur shabad Prakash Akal Ashram”. Today the trus owns about 16 acres of land for sewa of sangat.
Guru Granth Sahib’s first prakash was done on vaisakhi-1985. Sangat gathers in Gurmat Samagam for all around for Kirtan samagams and Simran-Sadhna in amrit-vela. He inspired thousands to take Amrit and conferred as “Nishkam Kirtania” at Shri Akal Takht Sahib on April 4th, 1996.
As per Dragahi Hukam Bhai Sahib left this world on Oct 14th, 2006. Major panthik figures and sangat gathered in large number to pay tribute to virji. Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa was hounored with Dastar, after Antim-Ardas, to carry on the responsibilities of sewa of Asthan.
Bhai Davinder Singh ji Khalsa is successfully continueing the sewa in full dedication with blessings of Akal-purakh, Bhai Jasbir Singh ji Khalsa and samuh sikh sangat.
